We create opportunities for private sector practitioners to learn about common barriers facing community projects, including techniques for how to engage effectively with community champions.

There are a variety of barriers to overcome, which are well known to community members themselves but lesser known to other stakeholders. Given the level of cooperation that must exist in order to make a sustainable energy project successful, coordination across sectors can be enhanced by providing a space for private sector participants to engage in shared learning exercises on topics such as: the investment power of community benefit, determining business ready communities, working alongside landowners, protecting community buy-in, understanding legal options for partnerships and join ventures.
