Matthew Parsons

Matthew was until last year working in London in the newly defined research areas of neurotechnology and bioengineering. In a departure from describing microscopic neuronal flight control circuitry, he recently moved back to Edinburgh to start work in the nascent tidal energy industry. Matthew has published scientific papers and taught in the fields of neuroscience, physics and engineering, and is now exploring a new role with SCENE as a technology advisor. He also has evolving interests in the areas of digital currencies (Bitcoin), monetary reform (Positive Money), and of course community energy, integration and investment. Matthew holds an MSCi from the University of Glasgow and a PhD from the University of Cambridge.
